Chef Dan buys most of his goods locally: produce from the great Hudson Valley Organic Farms, Local Ice Cream and Desserts. All meats are smoked in The Wherehouse’s smoker, on the premises. Chef Dan brings back recipes from the Depression years, “Butter Beans and Rye”. He cooks up the best onion soup you can imagine and always has one Seasonal soup; it changes as the season does, so catch it while you can. His Barbeque and Burgers melt in your mouth and his specials include Seasonal Seafood.
Chef Dan found His space in a one hundred and fifty year old building on Liberty Street in Newburgh, located on the Hudson River. As important as the visual appeal is, “IT’S ALL ABOUT THE FOOD”!! He wanted a place where all can enjoy a great meal and decided to marry the Carnivores with the Herbivores around the same table! |
